Delete Your Account
For Tinklestop mobile app users
Note: Tinklestop core features do not require an account. However, if you created an account to save favorite locations, leave reviews, or use other optional features, you can request account deletion by following the steps below.
How to Request Account Deletion
To request that your Tinklestop account be deleted, please follow these steps:
- Open the Tinklestop app on your iOS or Android device
- Go to Settings (tap the gear icon in the top right)
- Scroll down and tap "Account Settings"
- Tap "Delete My Account"
- Confirm your request when prompted
Alternative method: If you prefer, you can email your account deletion request directly to support@tinklestop.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please include the email address associated with your account.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When you request account deletion, the following occurs:
Data That Will Be Deleted
- Account credentials (email, password)
- Profile information (name, preferences)
- Saved favorite locations
- Search history (if stored with your account)
- Location data associated with your account
Data That May Be Retained
- Bathroom information you submitted (including descriptions, text, and photos) — This contributed data helps the community and will be anonymized (disassociated from your account) but remains visible to other users. You can request removal of specific submissions by contacting us.
- Reviews and ratings you posted — These will be anonymized (disassociated from your account) but may remain visible to help other users. You can request removal of specific reviews by contacting us.
- Aggregated analytics data — Anonymous usage statistics that do not identify you personally
- Legal/compliance records — Limited data may be retained if required by law or for fraud prevention (e.g., banned accounts)
Retention Period
Account deletion is processed immediately upon confirmation. You will no longer be able to access your account or its associated data.
Anonymization of public content (reviews/ratings) occurs within 30 days. Backup systems may retain data for up to 90 days before permanent deletion.
After Deletion
Once your account is deleted:
- You will be logged out of all devices
- You can still use Tinklestop core features without an account
- You can create a new account in the future if desired (but previous data will not be restored)
